Channels, storage and expansion

The number of channels is the number of cameras the recorder records at the same time. Count your current cameras and leave some room: on 32 channels you can connect up to 32, but it is advisable to allow some margin for later.

Many NVRs of this size have built-in PoE ports, so each camera receives power and video over the same network cable. If there are more cameras than PoE ports, you add a PoE switch.

Can I connect more than 32 cameras later?

No, 32 channels is the maximum of this recorder. If you want to expand further later, choose a model with more channels now, or view all NVR recorders.

Does it have PoE?

Many NVRs have built-in PoE ports, so you only need to run one cable per camera. Check the number of PoE ports per model; if you need more, use a PoE switch.
