Maintaining M&C profile cylinders
You have probably never given it much thought, but cylinders do need to be maintained. If you do not maintain your cylinders, the chance of wear is many times greater.
Prevent wear with the M&C Service pen
To prevent your cylinders from wearing out quickly, it is advisable to lubricate the lock at least once a year with the special M&C service pen. Spray a small amount into the keyhole on both sides (with the pin as far into the cylinder as possible) and your lock will work like new again. After applying the lubricant, insert the key into the keyhole and remove it a few times, and turn it a few times. This way the rest of the cylinder is also lubricated properly. Use only the service pen. Always lubricate the cylinder lock with the service pen only. Never use oil, graphite or grease. Dirt and dust stick to these.
