Channels, storage and expansion
The number of channels is the number of cameras the recorder records at the same time. Count your current cameras and leave some room: on 24 channels you can connect up to 24, but it is advisable to allow some margin for later.
Many NVRs of this size have built-in PoE ports, so each camera receives power and video over the same network cable. If there are more cameras than PoE ports, you add a PoE switch.

Does it have PoE?
