Parties

Who we share data with

We share data only with parties we need for our services. Where they process data on our behalf, we have made agreements about this. Parties such as Mollie, PostNL and WebwinkelKeur are also partly responsible themselves; in that case their own privacy statement also applies.

Webshop, hosting and email
YTEE B.V.Our web shop runs on WooCommerce, on servers that YTEE B.V. manages itself. Backups are made regularly.
CloudflareAll traffic to our site runs through Cloudflare, which makes the site faster and more secure. Cloudflare sees your IP address in the process. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out bots, Cloudflare's visitor statistics without cookies, and Cloudflare Zaraz to load measurement and advertising services only after you have given your consent.
Microsoft 365For our email traffic, including the emails about your order. We also check which emails are not delivered, so that we can correct an incorrect email address.
GoogleAt checkout you can have your address completed automatically. What you type in the address field is sent to Google Maps for this purpose.
Payment and administration
MollieProcesses the online payments. Mollie receives your name, address and payment details. If you choose to pay later or pay in instalments, that party (for example Klarna, Riverty or in3) also receives your data, under its own terms.
Exact OnlineOur bookkeeping. Exact receives your name, address and the details of your order, in order to process the invoice.
European Commission (VIES)If you order as a business with a VAT number from another EU country, we check that number in the VAT register of the European Commission.
Delivery and subscriptions
PostNLDelivers your parcel. PostNL receives your name, address and email address, so that they can deliver your parcel and inform you about the delivery.
A1 DigitalSupplier of our M2M SIM cards. With a SIM card subscription, we register the number of your SIM card with A1 Digital in order to activate it.
Contact, reviews and newsletter
WebwinkelKeurCollects our reviews. After a completed order, we send your name, email address and the products you bought to WebwinkelKeur, which then asks you for a review. Read how this works.
OmnisendSends our newsletter. Omnisend uses your name and email address only for our emails, and measures whether an email is opened. You can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of every email.
AkismetChecks reviews and comments on the site for spam. For this, the text, your name, your email address and your IP address are sent to Akismet.
Limit Login AttemptsProtects the login page. When you try to log in, your IP address is checked against a list of known attackers.
Search help and AI assistant
CloudflareThe search help and the assistant run on Cloudflare. The database is located in Western Europe.
AnthropicDrafts the answers. Anthropic receives your question without identifiable personal data and may not use it to train its models.
Sales channels
MarktplaatsIf you buy a product from us via Marktplaats, we receive your order and contact details in order to process the order.

Some of these parties also process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. This is done on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. In addition, we may be legally required to share data with the government, for example in a tax or criminal investigation.

Search help and AI

The search assistant and the AI assistant

On secures.nl you can search in plain language and put questions to an automated assistant. You are not talking to a member of staff there, and the answers may contain errors.

Personal data is removed. If our system recognises an email address, telephone number, bank account number, order number, address, postcode or a name by which you introduce yourself in your message, it is replaced before your message is stored or sent. This is a safety net and not a guarantee. Therefore do not type data that you do not want to share, and for a question about an order, use the contact form or call us instead.

Not linked to you. We do not store an IP address with a conversation. A conversation is given a random number that disappears as soon as you close the tab, and it is not linked to an account or an order. As a result, we also cannot look up a conversation if you ask for access to it or for it to be erased.

How long. We keep a conversation with the assistant for thirty days and search queries for ninety days. During that time we read them back to see where the answers can be improved. After that they are deleted automatically.

Preventing misuse. We count how many requests per minute arrive from the same IP address. For this we briefly store an encrypted fingerprint of the IP address. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not an automated program.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies

On your first visit we ask which cookies you allow. We only ever place the necessary cookies; for the rest, the decision is yours.

NecessaryFor your shopping basket, checkout, logging in, security and remembering your cookie choice. Without these cookies, the web shop does not work.
PreferencesRemembered settings, so that the site works the way you used it previously. Only with your consent.
StatisticsShow us how visitors use the site, so that we can improve it. Only with your permission. Cloudflare's visitor statistics work without cookies.
MarketingMeasuring whether an advertisement, for example from Google or OpenAI, led to an order, and making advertisements more relevant. Only with your consent.

The services of third parties on our site can also place cookies, such as the review block of WebwinkelKeur and the sign-up forms of Omnisend. Please also read their privacy statements.

Retention periods

How long we keep data

Orders and invoicesSeven years, because of the statutory tax retention obligation.
Customer accountFor as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we will do so. The invoices will then be kept for seven years.
Returns, warranty and faultsFor as long as is needed for handling and the warranty. Photos that you send with your report are deleted twelve months after your report has been closed.
AI assistant and search helpConversations thirty days, search queries ninety days.
NewsletterUntil you unsubscribe.
Server logsAbout ten days. These contain, among other things, IP addresses, for security and for resolving faults.
Security

How we protect your data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures against loss and misuse of your data. The site uses an encrypted connection (https), administrator accounts are protected with two-step verification, and we make regular backups. Only employees who need your data for their work can access it. Employees and the parties we engage are bound by a duty of confidentiality.

Your rights

What you can request

Under the GDPR you have rights regarding the data we process about you. Send your request to [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Access

You will receive an overview of the data we hold about you and the parties with which we share it.

Rectification

If anything is incorrect, we will correct it. You can also change much of your data yourself in your account.

Erasure

You can ask us to erase your data. Anything we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, is retained for as long as required.

Restriction

You can ask us to temporarily suspend the processing of your data, for example while we assess a request.

Transfer

You will receive your data in a common file format, so that you can take it to another party.

Objection and consent

You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and you can withdraw any consent you have given at any time.

To prevent misuse, we only send data to the email address we already have for you. If you want to receive it at a different address or by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority). We would of course prefer to hear from you first.

Changes

If this statement changes

We will amend this privacy policy if our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page. If a change affects data we already hold about you, we will let you know by email.

This version applies from 13 oktober 2026 and replaces the version of 6 oktober 2026.
